I’m a Self Taught Software Engineer with going on a decade of experience building web, desktop, and mobile applications. I’ve done web and client side work for Hilton, Nascar, and PriceWaterhouseCooper, as well has having worked for Citrix as a Senior Software Engineer and Developer Evangelist in the Mobile Application Space.
As far back as 2007 I was working with C++, which lead into working with C# and ASP.Net, and a great run working with Windows Tablets and Windows Phone all the way until windows 8.1.
In 2014 I picked up iOS Development, attended Big Nerd Ranch, and Self Taught my way through Ruby On Rails in 12 Weeks. In that time I produced over 7 applications, both web and mobile.
Since November 2014 when I got the chance to work with the octoblu.com team, I started to fall in love with the Internet of Things. I got the chance to build applications to demonstrate the Connected Office – the next Prosumer Frontier.
After catching the IoT bug in 2014 I was lucky enough to attend the last Gigaom (they went out of business after) where I was incredibly inspired by the excitement and passion coming from the product developers at the conference.
I’m a pretty passionate guy, so when I get a hold of something I like, I dive in 100% and then I want to tell the whole world….
